Wasteland

Wasteland.jpg

Outside the heavily patrolled gates of San Tuario The Wasteland stretches North and East as far as the eye can see. Jagged sky scrappers, the skeletal husks of the human run world, claw against the sky, looming over shelled streets and burned out buildings. While the earth beyond the walls is still barren, nature’s attempts to reclaim the land can be readily seen in tangled, thorny brush, mold and sparse trees straining to grow. It is a grim and unforgiving landscape beyond the city walls. Even so vestiges of humanity can still be found if one looks closely. Campfires and makeshift shelters are tucked in amongst the buildings, speaking of those humans who still refuse to bow their heads and accept their fate.

The Wasteland is the only haven afforded to unregistered humans but life there is harsh and unforgiving and often subject to raids by the supernatural population. Still there are areas where the cities are beginning to allow Wastelanders past their gates for trade. Such instances are rare, however, and the Wastelander’s venturing into Crimson Regime cities are never truly safe. While San Tuario is one of the cities that allow Wastelanders to enter, entry is only permitted after a thorough search of persons and goods being brought into the city.

Weapons

Guns and ammunition are a rare and valuable commodity in the Wasteland. Given the fact that humans are forbidden to own, or carry firearms, getting either requires intensive scavenging.

Economy

The World economy is run and monitored by the Crimson Regime. Commerce is conducted with Government issued chipped cards granted only to Supernaturals and Registered Humans. Wastelanders rely entirely upon trade in the form of goods and services.

Rights

Unregistered Humans have no rights and are subject to being rounded up or detained by the ISF without cause.

Despite all of this, despite the fact that standing against the Regime means death, Human rebels still operate in the barren landscape Unregistered Humans call home.

Players choosing to play Unregistered Humans are welcome to set up businesses and homes outside the city. It is important, however, to remember, that paper money is worthless and supplies are scant and hard won. Be realistic in what you offer, should you choose to go this route.

While there is no electricity in the Wasteland, there are generators. Generators, however, require gas or kerosene, both of which must be scavenged, or traded, for.
